Interview with Panopto: Engaging the Digital & Hybrid Workplace through Video

With Intra.NET Nordic happening next week, we are excited to announce our Highlight Speaker Denis Staskewitsch, Sales Director DACH & Nordics at Panopto.

Find out more about Panopto and get a Sneak Peek into his session.

we.CONECT: You work as the Sales Account Director DACH at Panopto. What is the most exciting part about your role and why are you passionate about it?

Denis Staskewitsch: A career in technology is a fulfilling and fascinating one. Technology professionals develop cutting-edge products and solutions that entertain us, improve the environment, and keep us connected. Panopto as a company has the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up, with the maturity and mentality of a scale-up. Being able to help organisations improve their internal and external communication using our video solution, is what I am most passionate about.

we.CONECT: How would you identify the biggest challenges of internal communications professionals in the post pandemic era?

Denis Staskewitsch: The biggest challenge for internal comms post pandemic is how to effectively communicate in the ever-changing digital and hybrid working environment. The pandemic brought about a big change in how we work for the better, however this has created challenges in how we communicate & collaborate with employees. Technology might be another challenge, some companies may not have the right technology in place to communicate properly. Timely communication & leadership visibility can also create challenges in a remote or dispersed work environment.

we.CONECT: From your point of view, what would be the most essential functionalities and features of the digital workplace within the next 2 years?

Denis Staskewitsch: Smart workspaces, including virtual workspaces, a knowledge management hub and a community for employees to be social when remote working. Most importantly, a secure, searchable video platform which hosts all the organisation’s video assets in a central hub.

we.CONECT: How would you describe the power of video in internal communications?

Denis Staskewitsch: Using on-demand video, companies can empower their staff through easily accessible educational content. Video also helps brands improve employee training and create an engaged workforce. Our brains process visual content 60,000 times faster than text. This means it is a lot easier for staff to absorb your key messages and keep engaged with a video than it is for a text-based form of communication.

we.CONECT: What would you suggest to your peers for hybrid working transformation? Where and how to start?

Denis Staskewitsch: Hybrid working transformation – start by creating a clear hybrid working model. Keep employees engaged through video, building out a collaborative program of secure technologies to support the hybrid model. Create a central learning hub for all employees, that is easily accessible and kept updated.

we.CONECT: The Intra.Net Reloaded Nordic is a highly interactive networking event – which conversations are you particularly looking forward to?

Denis Staskewitsch: I’m looking forward to meeting like minded people to talk about experiences and challenges within their organisation. Exploring innovative ways that our solution can help businesses achieve their goals by implementing new digital tools to future proof their organisation.

we.CONECT: What are your most important expectations from IntraNET Reloaded Nordic?

Denis Staskewitsch: Learn from industry leaders about their experiences, forecast trends & technologies and be able to showcase how Panopto’s end-to-end video-solution helps organisations organize, store, and deliver video so that anybody in any office can find any training materials they wish and can watch it.

Thanks Denis! Be sure to check out Panopto’s Session at 11:25 AM CEST on Monday, September 27th, online.
